Mauna Kea Visitor Information Station

The Visitor Information Station at 9,200 feet is spectacular on its own — above the clouds with stunning views. Free exhibits and select evenings free stargazing with telescopes (reservations fill fast). Regular car is fine to reach the Visitor Station. SUMMIT WARNING: Children under 13 and pregnant women should not go above the Visitor Station due to altitude. 4WD required for summit road.
