600-year-old restored Hawaiian fishing village with a 1.1-mile self-guided loop trail. Kids can play traditional Hawaiian games along the trail. Also a Marine Life Conservation District — great snorkeling at the south end of the bay in calm conditions. One of the most underrated stops on the whole island.

Beautiful and peaceful. Kids love the Junior Ranger booklet. Combine with Kealakekua Bay nearby for a full South Kona day.
