Wednesday and Saturday are the best days with the most vendors. Parking fills up fast — go early. Not all produce is locally grown — many vendors are resellers. Ask vendors directly where their food was grown.

Small community market — good quick stop if passing through Keaʻau. Mostly local produce vendors.

Biggest Sunday market on the east side — 150+ vendors with live music, food court, crafts, plants, clothing, and produce. One of the most authentic local experiences on the island. Arrive early for best selection.

Smaller and more neighborhood-feel than Makuʻu. Good quick Sunday stop if already in Pāhoa town. Dog friendly.

Wednesday night is legendary — live Hawaiian music, food, and community gathering on a lava field where a neighborhood once stood before the 2018 eruption. Right next to the new black sand beach at Kalapana. Magical for families in the evening. One of the most uniquely Hawaiian experiences on the island.
